Internal & External Marketing

Project 1

The Brief

I was to intern for the Marketing Team at Lives Lived Well (LLW) to help create various internal and external marketing pieces that would be seen by a wide variety of staff as well as both current and potential clients. At all times, it was critical that the LLW brand was maintained through all completed projects.

Throughout my duration, I had to be mindful of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural sensitivities, as well as being aware that certain material / imagery could trigger future and current clients. All whilst maintaining the LLW brand throughout all completed projects.

Takeaways

Communication

A huge part of any team's success is to constantly be communicating with one another throughout the duration of the project. It was important to keep the other team members up-to-date as to where I was whilst creating/completing each project.

Consistency

Consistency matters! This was my first time using a style guide and pre-approved imagery throughout my creation/design process. By using the organisation's guidelines, I was able to provide a consistent visual style, that ensured the organisation's brand is as easily recognisable as possible.

Consideration

At an organisation such as LLW, it was important to be considerate of other cultures, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. The organisation works with many forms of addiction, so it was important to make sure that imagery used/created was not explicit in substance usage, as it may trigger current and previous substance users.
